Our Story
Carelian Log Buildings was established in 2014 by director Ionut, after seven years of working as self-employed for a Finnish log company in the UK and ten years prior working in the same field in Europe. Starting as an apprentice at age 16 in handcrafted log homes, Ionut found his passion and career, learning the Finnish way of building with factory-manufactured logs in 2007.
What started in 2014 has grown into one of the UK's most respected log building companies, with over 50 log houses built by our company across the UK. The director Ionut has been involved in building more than 200 log houses throughout his career. Our team of skilled craftsmen combines traditional techniques with modern innovation to create homes that are both beautiful and built to last.
