2Information we receive
We receive information you choose to provide, particularly when you make an enquiry. That can include:
- your name, email address, telephone number, and any location details you provide;
- your project type, budget range, proposed timetable, requirements, and message;
- correspondence, quotations, invoices, and project records created if we work together; and
- limited technical information used to deliver and protect the service, such as an IP address, request details and browser user-agent.
We do not ask you to provide special-category personal data. Please avoid putting sensitive personal information in a general website enquiry unless it is genuinely necessary.
3Why we use it
| Activity | Information and purpose | Our basis |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiries and quotations | Contact and project information so we can answer you and take steps you ask for before a possible contract. | Taking steps at your request before entering a contract. |
| Project and account administration | Correspondence, project, and payment records needed to perform a signed agreement and manage the relationship. | Performance of a contract and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations. |
| Website and form security | Limited technical data, security-check results, logs and form-submission records used to prevent abuse, investigate errors and protect our systems. | Our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service. |
| First-party Facebook updates | Public content from our own Facebook Page is synchronised server-to-server so visitors can see recent company work without loading a social widget. | Our legitimate interests in presenting current work and communicating our public business updates. |
We will not use enquiry details for a new marketing purpose without telling you how that activity works and, where needed, obtaining the appropriate permission.
5How long we keep it
We keep information for no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The period depends on the nature of the enquiry or project, whether a contract follows, the need to resolve a complaint or enforce rights, and any record-keeping obligation that applies.
Cached Facebook Page posts and local display images are reviewed during scheduled synchronisation. Posts leave the active feed immediately when no longer selected; unused image files are retained for a seven-day cache grace period before removal.
6International services
Some hosting, security, communication or platform providers may process information outside the UK. Where we arrange a transfer that is subject to UK data-protection rules, we use a lawful transfer mechanism appropriate to the provider and processing. Visiting an external platform is governed by that provider's own information.
7Your rights
Subject to the applicable conditions, you can ask to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- erase information, restrict its use, or object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
- receive information you provided in a portable format where that right applies.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need enough information to verify the request and protect other people's information.
8Questions and complaints
Please contact us first if you have a concern about how we use personal data. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
For concerns about service or a project rather than data protection, use our Complaints procedure.
9Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our processing changes. The date at the top identifies the current version.
